Recently popular architectural representation YouTube channel Show It Better reviewed one of my drawings. This was a great experience as it gave me some good feedback on compositional and representational aspects of my work that is often a lower priority in my schooling. This channel is great for developing your representation skills or learning a new workflow or program. The review of my drawing starts at 9:15 in the video if you want to skip to that.
Wanderers- Short Film /
This is a fantastic short film that succinctly expresses some of my feelings in the area of space exploration. It has some great examples of applications of different potential architectures for space-based, and planetary-based habitats. Many of the scenes are based on the descriptions of one of my favourite sci-fi authors Kim Stanley Robinson. The amount design potential for hopefully near-future space exploration projects is exciting. There a lot to be learned in space and a lot of inspiration and technical applications that could be infused back into our current earth-based architecture.
Hong Kong /
From a recent trip to Hong Kong. The overcast days, intense urbanism, and futuristic feel of the city made the experience almost surreal. I tried to capture some of the interesting moments of symmetry, contrast, and density.
